Title: Communications Associate/Manager
Location: Remote (candidates based in Washington, DC preferred)
About the Inclusive Abundance Initiative:
Abundance is a new and growing movement to foster a more vibrant economy with widespread flourishing.
The Inclusive Abundance Initiative is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization building a dynamic community of notable policy experts, think tanks, and advocacy groups to shape America's future through an Abundance-focused agenda. In the coming year, we are excited to make progress on housing, energy, innovation, and state capacity. We also believe in the power of diverse ideas and inclusive dialogue to create policies that not only drive progress but also unify and strengthen our nation.
Public policy has been stuck in a scarcity mindset that says if someone wins, someone else must lose. That we should give in to the depressing polarization dominating our news cycles and accept a status quo where we cease to dream big. The result? Too many Americans are left behind. We can do better. By convening world-class experts, changing the narrative, and amplifying impactful new ideas, we're reimagining what's possible.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate communications professional to join our team and help convey our vision of Abundance to a range of public policy audiences. This role has an emphasis on writing and content creation, and secondary focus on interfacing with press and coordinating digital media. The ideal candidate will be able to collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the organization’s communications needs and help advance programmatic goals. Whether you're early in your career and eager to learn (Associate), or have a few years of experience and are ready for more responsibility (Manager), we want to hear from you.

- Coordinate internally to ensure alignment on key messaging and organizational updates
Qualifications:
- Passion for and proven alignment with our organization’s mission and values
- Respectful, collaborative, and communicative with an independently industrious work style
- Excellent writing and editing skills, acquired through 4-6 years of professional writing experience, preferably in domestic policy, journalism, or nonprofit communications
- Strong ability to quickly grasp complex policy concepts and convert into creative content products
- Proven media relations skills with experience in securing press coverage
- Strong understanding in digital media with ability to run our content management systems and social media channels
- Familiarity with current events and domestic policy issues related to economic growth, housing, energy, science & innovation, and/or government effectiveness preferred
