Henry Honorof
- Director, Welcoming Neighbors Network
“When you’re dealing with an issue (like) housing...you have to be much more open to working with people that are often uncomfortable to work with.”
Henry Honorof is director of the coordinating team of the Welcoming Neighbors Network, a confederated network of 38 (and counting) independent state and local pro-housing advocacy organizations across 24 states. Henry acts as executive of the network and provides behind-the-scenes consultation and campaign support for pro-housing policy coalitions, including recent winning state legislative efforts in Arizona, Montana, Colorado, and Hawai'i. Previously, Henry co-founded the Oregon-based pro-housing, pro-tenant organization, Portland: Neighbors Welcome, which led a diverse coalition that legalized building a wide array of workforce and affordable housing options to address the city's housing crisis. Henry lives in Portland with his partner Hayley, his daughter Zadie, two tiny dogs, and one overly large cat.
